Tridak Spray Systems

Tridak provides the ability to deposit fluids through atomized spray systems that are based on two proven high performance valves, the Model 455 disposable fluid path valve and the Model 775 spool valve. The spray versions of these valves, incorporate the unique features of each valve with a diverse array of spray nozzles. This creates infinite combinations of spray flow and dispense patterns, which can meet the requirements of the most challenging applications. Independent selection of the spray nozzles provides the best means to match fluid properties with desired deposit volume, pattern, and edge definition.

Both spray valves are pneumatically actuated with the Tridak Model 345 valve controller. The valves are easily integrated into robotics and automated processing. Fluid reservoir systems ranging in size from 2.5 oz cartridges through 15 liter pressure tanks are available from Tridak. Tridak Applications Engineering will help identify the best suited nozzle and reservoir options for your process.

Spray System Models Available:

Model 455SP: This spray system incorporates disposable fluid path technology to minimize clean-up and reduce down-time for product changeover. The fluid line from the reservoir to the spray nozzle is disposable, and is quickly and easily replaced. All that needs to be cleaned is the nozzle itself, which is easily detachable for cleaning or replacement.

The Model 455SP spray system is ideally suited for low-to-medium viscosity fluids such as adhesives, coatings, masks, paints, and lubricants. Disposable fluid path technology makes it possible to economically produce shorter manufacturing runs of products requiring spray deposits at multiple materials.

The Model 455SP spray system was originally designed for non-contact deposit of fluids onto surfaces. From tiny shots, to narrow ribbons, to wide bands, the 455SP system provides precise and consistent performance.

Model 775SP: This spray system permits higher volume spraying for faster spray deposit with greater depth. Fewer passes reduces cycle time and cost.

This system will accommodate fluids that are slightly higher in viscosity than the Model 455SP spray system. Though not a valve with disposable fluid path technology, the Model 775SP spray system is easily disassembled for fast cleaning. A custom-order, heated version of the Model 775SP spray system is available to help facilitate the spraying deposit of stringy materials with varying viscosity.
